Fishing Forums

Fishing forums are a great way to meet others to fish with.  Not only can you find fishing partners, you can find people who are willing to help teach you how to be successful no matter what species you're fishing for and find out where the best places to fish are.  When I moved to Texas, I joined the Texas Fishing Forum and some of my very good friends I met there.  When I decided to learn how to kayak fish, I joined Texas Kayak Fisherman and now have a reliable group of fishing partners if I choose to do that.

Texas Fishing Forum - This is a very large forum where you can talk about any species you're after in Texas in any part of the state.  It's the place where I first started discussing carp and buffalo fishing and some of my best friends in Houston I met through this forum.  I also learned a lot about fishing here.

Texas Kayak Fisherman - This is a website dedicated to Kayak Fishing in Texas.  When I decided to go Beyond The Breakers kayak fishing and wanted to learn how to get out and catch big bull reds and sharks, this is where I went.  There's a great group of guys on this site that can help you learn a lot about both inshore and offshore kayak fishing.  Also a great resource to learn how to rig your kayak - highly recommended!

2CoolFishing - This is a website with mainly Texas anglers but you'll find some from other states as well.  There is a lot of information here mainly pertaining to saltwater fishing.  On the classifieds you can find some pretty high end offshore boats and tackle.  There's a lot of good discussion regarding off shore fishing, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico.

Carp Anglers Group - This is a group of dedicated carp anglers across the United States.  Parts of their forum are available to the general public, while others require an annual Carp Anglers Group fee.  The fee is not that much (was $25 last I checked) and is well worth the knowledge you'll gain to become a member.
